JINR and Rossotrudnichestvo will collaborate

An Agreement about cooperation between the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research was signed on 27 June 2012 in Dubna. The Agreement is intended to extend of cooperation of parties in scientific-technical, innovative and scientific-educational spheres.

Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Konstantin Kosachev and Head of Department of science and technical and innovative cooperation of Rossotrudnichestvo Andrei Chernyshov were welcomed at the JINR Directorate by JINR Director RAS Academician V.A. Matveev, JINR Vice-Director Professor M.G. Itkis, Director of the International Innovative Nanotechnology Centre of the CIS countries A.V. Ruzaev, Head of the JINR International Cooperation Department D.V. Kamanin, JINR Director Advisor G.A.Kozlov and Social Infrastructure Management Office Director A.V. Tamonov.

A meeting was held in friendly and informal atmosphere not only in the purpose of solidarity, but also because participants were on the same wavelength. As it turned out, a long-standing slogan of JINR “Science bringing nations together” is the same popular in the Federal Agency.

The Agreement on cooperation between the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research establishes a number of topical areas of collaborative activity: from organization of joint scientific, applied and topical conferences, seminars, exhibitions, educational programmes to development of cooperation of the CIS countries in the field of implementation of results of scientific-technical activity in knowledge intensive industries of economy, including personnel training, and also in establishing and support of market launch of innovative products, including those in the frames of the Interstate programme of innovative cooperation of the CIS countries for the period until 2020.

Besides that the parties committed themselves to support consolidation of innovative and intellectual potential of the CIS countries using opportunities of the International Innovative Nanotechnology Centre of the CIS countries (ININCIS), the Infrastructural nanotechnological center “Dubna” and the Special Economic Zone “Dubna”, and also to assist in involvement of concerned organizations of the CIS countries in joint projects of SEZ “Dubna”.
