News, 04 April 2012

A two-day international forum "Innovations. CIS. Future" has started today on 4 April 2012 at the JINR International Conference Hall.

The Forum is one of the events of the program to be implemented throughout 2009 – 2011 by the International Innovative Nanotechnology Center of the CIS countries (InINCIS) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) supported by the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCC).

The aim of the current Forum is to work out the measures of defining the Model of innovation governance within the CIS space.

The main target of the Forum is to promote cooperation and to consolidate the efforts to develop innovations among the representatives of the scientific, educational and business communities of the CIS countries (“the Knowledge Triangle”), and also to analyze the possibility of application of European Model of innovation governance in the CIS area.

During the Forum there will be an exhibition of projects presented by high-tech and innovative companies and individuals. The companies participating in the exhibition will be assisted in acquiring the residency status of Dubna Special Economic Zone and Skolkovo. The individuals will be able to apply for grants.

As part of the Forum Event it is expected that the introduction of the Award in Innovations in the CIS named after A.N.Sissakian “Fantastic Reality” will take place. The Award will be given for the research and innovation – the implementation of idea, or a new prototype, or a product, or its manufacturing. The awarding ceremony might take place during the Fall Forum Event in 2012. The organizers of the event intend to address Ms.Dzhakhan Pollyeva with a request to hold the ceremony.
