Counselor on Science and Technology of the Embassy of India in Russia Sajiv Kumar Varshney visited JINR on 3 August. The objective of his visit was preparation for the 16th meeting of the Joint Council for the Integrated Long Term Programme of Cooperation in Science & Technology between India and the Russian Federation for the years 2000-2010. The meeting is planned to be held in Moscow and Dubna. V.G.Kadyshevsky, N.A.Russakovich, I.Adam, M.V.Altaisky, A.E.Vasiliev had a talk with the guest in the JINR Directorate. Sajiv Kumar Varshney visited the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions and was acquainted with the JINR infrastructure facilities where the forthcoming event is planned to be held.
