On 27 July 2026, the Supersymmetries and Quantum Symmetries – SQS’26 international workshop began at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. The event is attended by more than 100 specialists in theoretical and mathematical physics from leading scientific centres and universities in Russia, as well as Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, France, and Greece.

In his welcome speech, JINR Vice-Director Latchesar Kostov wished the participants fruitful work and the establishment of new scientific contacts. SQS’26 Organizing Committee Chair of the conference, chief researcher at the BLTP JINR Supersymmetry Sector Evgeny Ivanov noted that the conference was founded in the early 1990s with the participation of recognised experts in supersymmetry theory Victor Ogievetsky and Julius Wess. Having taken place fifteen times, the event consistently features world-renowned theorists as part of its Advisory and Organizing Committees.

The workshop started with plenary talks: “Application of approximate renormalisation group invariants for investigating the Yukawa unification” by Konstantin Stepanyantz (Moscow State University) and “Quantisation of the deformed reducible gauge theories” by Ioseph Buchbinder (BLTP).

The SQS’26 scientific programme includes 81 presentations on the following topics:

  • string and higher-spin theories,
  • quantum and geometric aspects of supersymmetric theories,
  • supersymmetric integrable models,,
  • quantum groups and noncommutative geometry,
  • the Standard Model and its supersymmetric extensions.

The meeting will last until 31 July. The working languages are Russian and English.
