On 21 August 2017, JINR celebrated the 108th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Nikolaevich Bogoliubov, the outstanding Soviet mathematician and theoretical physicist, the first Director of the JINR Laboratory of Theoretical Physics and JINR Director in 1965-1988. Participants of the operational meeting under the leadership of JINR Vice-Director R. Lednický laid flowers at the monument to N.N. Bogoliubov.

The bust of N.N. Bogoliubov on Joliot-Curie 6 was installed in 2001 to the 45th anniversary of the city of Dubna. The 100th anniversary of the birth of the great scientist was widely celebrated in 2009 in the light of the decrees of the President of the Russian Federation and the President of Ukraine “On celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of N.N. Bogoliubov”.
