Progress towards implementation of the Nuclotron-NICA project was considered at the meeting of the Programme Advisory Committee for Particle Physics.
In March 2016, the first foundation stone of the mega-project NICA was laid. Three years later, it is possible to say that it is implemented according to the plan. The Nuclotron, the booster with superconducting magnets and the system of electron cooling, systems for beam transportation from the linear accelerator to the booster, from the booster to the Nuclotron and then into the collider. Production tests of magnet elements of the collider are being carried out. A large scope of work is conducted on various systems of the collider.
