School Students & Teachers

Teachers

Since 2009, in cooperation with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) the Institute has been holding annual scientific schools for science teachers from JINR Member-States. The main objective of these events is to popularise modern science and advances in modern physics among school students and teachers.

School students

In cooperation with the Government of Moscow Region, JINR runs the optional interschool course on physics and mathematics in Dubna. As a part of this course, additional training of school students in physics, mathematics, computer science and robotics has been conducted in cooperation with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).

Visits

JINR runs visits to its laboratories and basic facilities, and organizes video conferences and virtual tours for school and university students and teachers. The main goal of such real and virtual visits to the Institute is to attract young people to the sphere of scientific work and research.

JINR Educational Portal

Here you can find video lectures of our wonderful scientists and engineers who have collected their experience and knowledge in our institute and would gladly share it with you. The Portal also contains the series of video lessons for schoolchildren and students about the achievements and new scientific discoveries taking place in our laboratories, the animation on the JINR experimental facilities, and the Virtual Laboratory.

JINR Grants for teachers

To support the skill level and to stimulate creative activities of teachers who implement educational activities on subjects and techniques necessary for training the staff for JINR, as well as to encourage the best Dubna teachers, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research annually announces a city contest of teachers and teachers of additional education for JINR grants.
