Grigory Trubnikov is a speaker at panel sessions “Career in Science: formal position or actual leadership?” and “Development of human capital in science-driven territories”. Taking part in discussions about what a career in science is, a position or recognition, JINR Director highlighted, “I believe that recognition is the main thing. It should come first. The working process at scientific laboratories supposes more horizontal cooperation than vertical. It means a project that you want to fulfil should be reasonable. If you cannot explain and defend what you want to do, it will be difficult to win recognition from colleagues.” For those listeners who see an impulse of being a team leader in themselves, Grigory Trubnikov wished to be ambitious but not arrogant.

Grigory Trubnikov focused the attention of the audience on the fact that it is crucial for a scientist to work in a good scientific team supervised by an open-minded leader. He also highlighted that a research principle maintained by a scientific team should be international and JINR complies with this rule by uniting representatives of 63 countries of the world as its employees and partners.
