A regular session of the JINR Committee of Plenipotentiaries

A regular session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the JINR Member States will be held on 24 – 25 November 2017 in the International Conference Hall, Dubna. The Session will be started with a report by JINR Director, Academician V.A. Matveev on the milestones of JINR activities in 2017 and on recommendations of the 122nd Session of the JINR Scientific Council that was held in September 2017. Moreover, the report of JINR Director will cover plans for scientific research activities of JINR in 2018.
The Session was preceded by a meeting of the working group under the Committee of Plenipotentiaries Chairman on financial issues of JINR and a meeting of the JINR Finance Committee. Svetlomira Harizanova (Republic of Bulgaria), Chairman of the Finance Committee, will report on the milestones of the meeting of the JINR Finance Committee which was held on 21 – 22 November. JINR Chief Accountant S.N.Dotsenko will report on the financial issues of JINR activities. The report will be devoted to the draft of the JINR budget for 2018 and the draft of the membership’s fee of the JINR Member States for 2019, 2020, 2021. Reports on the audit results of the Institute’s financial activity in 2016 and on JINR procurement development will be provided.
VBLHEP Director V.D. Kekelidze and JINR Vice-Director R.Lednický will elaborate on the progress of the NICA project and offers of allocated by the RF Government funds expenditure. In the second part of the Session, VBLHEP Deputy Director H.G.Khodzhibagiyan will provide a report on JINR participation in the RF Federal Programme for carrying out research in the framework of international cooperation with institutes of the People’s Republic of China.
During the Session, some proposals will be presented concerning changes in the JINR Scientific Council procedure rules, the status of the Factory of Superheavy Elements will be reported on, information about high-level meetings held in JINR Member States and their milestones will be presented.
