Grigory Trubnikov joined State Council Commission of Russia

JINR Director Academician Grigory Trubnikov joined the Commission on Science of the State Council of the Russian Federation. Chairman of this State Council Commission, Governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrey Travnikov signed a corresponding resolution on the formation of the composition on 29 January 2021.

The State Council Commission on Science includes also representatives of government bodies, like Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office Denis Sekerinsky and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Digital and Technological Development Dmitry Peskov who visited JINR at the beginning of the year, members of the Federation Council, namely Lilia Gumerova, who has also recently visited JINR, and representatives of the State Duma. Moreover, representatives of Rospatent, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Digital Development are members of the Commission. Governors and their deputies of the Kirov, Irkutsk, Tambov, Yaroslavl, Chelyabinsk, Kemerovo regions, Altay and Zabaykalsky krais represent the regional administration. RAS Vice-President Valentin Parmon is a member of the Commission on behalf of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Moreover, the Commission includes heads of scientific foundations, educational centres, as well as leading representatives of university and scientific communities.

It should be reminded that on 21 December 2020, a governing body of the State Council with 28 members was formed by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Governor of the Novosibirsk region headed the State Council Commission on Science.

The State Council of the Russian Federation is an advisory body that assists the implementation of duties of the President on ensuring coordinated functioning and interaction of state government bodies.

The year 2021 has been declared the Year of Science and Technology. The events of the Year will start on 8 February, on the Day of Russian Science.
