Today, on 5 October, a two-day workshop “Physics programme for the first stage of the NICA SPD experiment” organized in the frames of “Day of SPD in Dubna” starts.
The event is held remotely and unites more than 60 scientists from leading scientific centres of the world.
The Workshop is aimed to discuss possible polarized and unpolarized physics programme for the first stage of NICA operation with reduced luminosity and collision energy of proton and ion beams.
In addition, participants will discuss the following topics:
- Polarized phenomena in p-p, p-d and d-d scattering
- Multiquark configurations and/or short-range corellations in nuclei, color transparency
- Phenomenological models of pp and pn interactions
- Light nuclei collisions
- Hypernuclei
- Physics beyond the Standard model
