Egypt builds cooperation with JINR and MSU

On 11 March, Director of the National Research Centre of Nanotechnologies (NRC) of the University of Britain in Egypt Professor Medhat Ibrahim accompanied by Advisor to the Directorate of the Laboratory of Neutron Physics JINR M. V. Frontasyeva visited the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University. Professor Ibrahim is an active participant of the cooperation with the Joint Institute and is currently supervising the Student Practice for young scientists from Egypt, a JINR Member State, from its side.

The guests learned about divisions of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Radiochemistry. At the meeting with Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Doctor of Chemistry, RAS Corresponding Member S. N. Kalmykov and his colleagues, the parties discussed opportunities for joint creation of new nanomaterials and study of their properties.

Professor Medhat Ibrahim shared his impressions of the visit to the departments of the Faculty with Deputy Dean of the MSU Faculty of Chemistry for Science M. E. Zvereva. He highlighted great instrumentation for conducting student workshops and research. Fluency in English of young staff members of the Department was noted, which is headed by Professor M. A. Proskurin. They told the guests about their studies.

Such a trilateral cooperation will allow efficiently using existing opportunities of Russia and Egypt to enhance student education and implement projects of great scientific interest.
