The 80-th anniversary of Academician A.N.Tavkhelidze (16.12.1930-27.02.2010) was celebrated on 16 December 2010. The Russian Academy of Sciences, The RAS Institute for Nuclear Research and The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research held a scientific session on modern problems of particle physics and cosmology on 16-17 December 2010. The session was devoted to the memory of the outstanding scientist and organizer of scientific research A.N.Tavkhelidze.
