The 45th regular meeting of the Programme Advisory Committee for Nuclear Physics will be held on 25-26 January 2017 in the International Conference Hall, Dubna.
Programme of the PAC for Nuclear Physics
The 45th meeting of the Programme Advisory Committee for Nuclear Physics will be held on 25-26 January under the chairmanship of Professor F. Piquemal (France). M.G. Itkis will acquaint PAC members with the milestones of the 120th Session of the JINR Scientific Council (September 2016) and the decisions of the JINR Committee of Plenipotentiaries (November 2016).
V. Chudoba and G.D.Shirkov will speak about support of young scientists at JINR. PAC NP members will visit the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics where they will be accompanied by D.V. Peshekhonov and N.K. Skobelev.
A.V. Kulikov will report on the theme “Physics of Light Mesons” and its projects and proposal for their extension. A report of N.A. Russakovich will be devoted to the main directions of research planned at JINR for 2017–2023.
S.N. Dmitriev will acquaint participants of the PAC meeting with the status of the Factory of Superheavy Elements. B.A. Shaibonov wil speak about the Baikal neutrino experiment and high-energy neutrino astronomy.
A scientific report “Cluster approach to the structure of heavy nuclei” will be presented by T. Shneidman. Young scientists will make poster presentations.
