On 30 November, the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) summed up the results of the competition 2021 in the priority field of activity “Conducting fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific studies by small scientific groups”. Projects by scientists of the Joint Institute are one of the winners of the grants.

JINR winning projects:

  1. “Development and study of detectors and techniques for suppression of the background in low-background experiments”, supervised by a DLNP senior researcher K. N. Gusev;
  2. “Structural aspects of the stability of thin film hybrid perovskites for solar elements by in situ neutron reflectometry”, supervised by Head of the FLNP Sector of Neutron Optics M. V. Avdeev;
  3. “TMD parton dynamics in hadrons and nuclei, and solid high-energy processes”, supervised by BLTP leading researcher A. V. Kotikov;
  4. “Development of the programme of participation in the DUNE experiment for precision measurements of neutrino oscillations”, supervised by Head of the DLNP Sector of Accelerator Neutrino O. B. Samoilov.

In total, 1,822 projects have received the grant.

The main task of the competition is to create and develop new topics for scientific teams and to form research teams. The Foundation provides financial support to fundamental and exploratory scientific studies in such fields as mathematics and IT, physics and space sciences, chemistry and material sciences, biology and life sciences, fundamental studies for medicine, engineering, etc.
