“New Trends in High Energy Physics”

From 3rd to 8th October 2016, in the seaside town of Budva (Montenegro) the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research holds the International conference “New Trends in High Energy Physics”. The Сonference is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of JINR. The organizing committee of the Сonference is headed by JINR Director Academician V.A. Matveev and V.A. Bednyakov (JINR) and A.G. Zagorodny (Institute for theoretical physics, Kiev) are the co-chairmen of the Committee.

On the first day of the conference, JINR Director Academician Victor Matveev, JINR Vice-Director, Professor R. Lednický, JINR Chief Scientific Secretary, Professor Nikolai Russakovich welcomed participants of the conference – representatives of many leading research centers of the world.

About 90 scientists representing leading research centers of the world will attend the Сonference in Budva. It is expected that representatives of the JINR Directorate will hold negotiations with the Minister of Education and Science of Montenegro on the conditions of a possible associated membership of this country in JINR. The first steps in this direction were made last year at the Symposium on Nuclear Electronics and Computing NEC-2015 which was held in Budva.
