In 2019, the booster was assembled in the Laboratory of High Energy Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Just a week before the New Year, the start to technological tests of all the systems of the new superconducting accelerator – the booster synchrotron – was ceremoniously given. The booster had been constructed in the framework of the NICA project.
