Education, 12 February 2016

On 10 February 2016 a videoconference between JINR and Moscow school No.1386 was organized. The conference was conducted by S.Pakuliak (UC), A.Bednyakov (BLTP), D.Dryablov (VBLHEP), A.Voinov (FLNR), and E.Karpova (UC). The school was represented by 70 participants, including students of the 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th grade, supervised by their physics teacher M Kovalenko.

The students asked questions concerning the history of JINR, the main discoveries made by Dubna scientists, and the ways of their practical application. The participants expressed their deep interest in the research prospects and the funding sources of the Institute scientific programme. JINR specialists also had to face some curious and irregular questions asked by the students, for example, those concerning the possibility to produce nuclear reactor parts using a 3D-printer.
