JINR will help physics and mathematics teachers of the Irkutsk Region

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Joint Institute, and the Administration of the Irkutsk Region have proposed such an initiative. This became known during the work visit of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov to Irkutsk.

To start the initiative, it is planned to organize advanced training courses for the best teachers of mathematics and physics in the Irkutsk Region. In the future, they will play a key role in stimulating interest of schoolchildren in the exact sciences. It was decided to put the most motivated teachers from different parts of the region through advanced training courses in the near future.

In addition, during the visit of Valery Falkov in Irkusk, the Minister had a meeting with Head of the Region Igor Kobzev, at which they discussed, in particular, the prospects for the development of the Baikal-GVD Megascience Project. Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov highlighted a huge interest in this project in Russia and abroad. In this regard, a certain infrastructure is needed, which visiting students and researchers will use.
