On 16 May 2018, the meeting of the ATLAS collaboration participants was held at JINR in the frames of the visit of Professor Karl Jakobs, Spokesperson of the ATLAS experiment at LHC.
In addition to presenting results and plans for physical research in the fields of the Standard Model, Higgs boson physics, search for new physics and physics of heavy quarks, prospects for our Institute’s participation in operation of the facility and its modernization during the upcoming technical break were discussed. Professor Karl Jacobs was also introduced to readiness of JINR for production of MicroMegas detectors.
