The famous Israeli scientist held a seminar devoted to experiments at the RHIC, NICA and FAIR accelerator complexes in the MEPhI.

Itzhak Tserruya (Weizmann Institute of Science), Israeli scientist who is also the leader from Israel in the CERES (SPS, CERN) and PHENIX (RHIC, BNL) international collaborations, as well as the Chairman of the JINR Programme Advisory Committee for Particle Physics (Dubna), visited the NRNU MEPhI on 22 – 23 June 2017.

The scientist held a seminar on the topic «Future experiments at the RHIC, NICA and FAIR accelerator complexes», after which joint research works were dicsussed. In his interview Itzhak Tserruya spoke about his plans to give lectures and seminars as a visiting Professor of the NRNU MEPhI with which he connected by old friendships and the academic past: «We are developing a joint work plan for the NICA, this is the main purpose of my visit».
