President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev took part in the meeting “Superheavy Elements” that was held at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research from 30 June to 2 July. Dubna and the synthesis of superheavy elements are nonseparable things.
The meeting was organized under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Sciences and its Council on Heavy Ions. Its aim was to discuss research in the fields of nuclear physics conducted at JINR and many other partner institutes.
