Аннотация:

The α-decay and spontaneous fission half-lives of yet-inaccessible superheavy elements Z = 119-122 are estimated from our theoretical approach based on systematic analysis of the experimental and calculated half-lives. We prove that predicted α- half-lives are in good agreement with experimental and calculated «shell model» half-lives. From a comparison of calculated α-half-lives with and without nuclear structure (using the microscopic ”shell-model” and ”one-body” resonance formation amplitudes) with measured half-lives, we demonstrate that the effects due to the quantum shell structure, finite sizes of nucleons and the short range pairing interaction have a strong stabilizing role in heaviest nuclei. Recent theoretical predictions in locating a possible center of the island of stability at the spherical closed shells Z = 120 and N = 172 or 184 are also reviewed in light of experimental efforts in Dubna and Darmstadt Labratorics.
