On 13 October, an award ceremony of diplomas on conferring academic degrees took place at the JINR Scientists’ Club. Four Candidates of Sciences received their diplomas. By tradition, the event was held in a festive atmosphere with the participation of representatives of the JINR Qualification Committee, guests, and scientific secretaries of Dissertation Councils, at meetings of which the defences took place.

Deputy Chairman of the Qualification Committee Alexander Sorin, Scientific Secretary of the Qualification Committee Oleg Belov, Executive Secretary Andrey Popeko congratulated diploma recipients. At the diploma award ceremony, its participants shared impressions about defences, discussed several organizational approaches to the consideration of dissertations. Diploma holders expressed gratitude to the Dissertation Councils and the Qualification Committee of JINR for their full support in procedural issues related to defence preparation. They also noted the convenience of the operating system for electronic submission of documents to dissertation councils. Representatives of the Qualification Committee wished the diploma holders new scientific results and success in their career.

Nikolay N. Voytishin, a citizen of the Russian Federation, was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics based on the results of the defence of the dissertation “Methods and software complexes for the reconstruction of charged particle trajectories in the BM@N and CMS experiments” in the speciality 1.2.2. “Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and software complexes”. The defence was held at the MLIT Dissertation Council on IT and Computational Physics.

Kirill B. Gikal, a citizen of the Russian Federation, was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics based on the results of the defence of the dissertation “Study of the fission properties of excited actinide nuclei in reactions with beams p, ^{16, 18}O, ²²Ne” in the speciality 1.3.15 “Nuclear Physics, Elementary Particle Physics, and High Energy Physics”. The defence was held at the FLNR Dissertation Council on Heavy Ion Physics.

Nguen Dan Tung, a citizen of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics based on the results of the defence of the dissertation “Charge fluctuations and superconductivity in strongly correlated electronic systems” in the speciality 1.3.3. “Theoretical Physics”. The defence was held at the BLTP Dissertation Council on Theoretical Physics.

Kirill V. Novikov, a citizen of the Russian Federation, was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics based on the results of the defence of the dissertation “Formation and decay of nuclear systems Z=114, 120 in interaction of heavy ions with nuclei” in the speciality 1.3.15 “Nuclear Physics, Elementary Particle Physics, and High Energy Physics”. The defence was held at the FLNR Dissertation Council on Heavy Ion Physics.
