JINR Newsletter #24, 25 June 2026Dear colleagues and friends, JINR and the Latin American Centre for Physics (CLAF) signed a memorandum of understanding. The aim of the new agreement is to leverage the Institute’s potential to advance science and technology in the CLAF Member States, while creating new opportunities for JINR to collaborate with Latin American countries. The 63rd meeting of the Programme Advisory Committee for Nuclear Physics took place in Dubna. Among the key topics were an experiment to synthesise element 119 at the Superheavy Element Factory, the development of a future neutron source for the Laboratory of Neutron Physics, and other updates regarding current JINR studies. This year’s event brought together 51 participants representing seven countries: Bolivia, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Africa, and Uzbekistan. Contributions can include footage of work at the laboratories, everyday life in Dubna, trips, as well as family videos of JINR employees.
