JINR Newsletter #18, 22 May 2025Dear colleagues and friends, Dubna has recently welcomed representatives from different countries, fostering international cooperation and exchange of ideas. On 13 May, a delegation of the French Embassy in Russia visited JINR. This week, the Institute is hosting the 27th JEMS Training Programme for participants from Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa, and Vietnam. The three-day BM@N Collaboration Meeting, focused on discussions of the large experiment as part of the NICA Project, concluded at the Laboratory of High Energy Physics. JINR employees obtained a patent for a new filter material, which will significantly simplify and speed up the analysis of biological fluids of various origin. CooperationVisit of delegation of French Embassy in RussiaLast week, a delegation of the French Embassy in the Russian Federation, headed by Minister-Counsellor Zacharie Gross, was introduced to the Institute’s scientific infrastructure and research projects. Representatives toured the sites of the Superheavy Element Factory, the IBR-2 Research Reactor, and the NICA Accelerator Complex. The participants are 22 representatives of leading universities and institutes of Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa, and Vietnam. READ MORE ➟Flagship ProjectsBM@N Collaboration Meeting took place at VBLHEP at JINRDuring the 14th Collaboration Meeting, the participants discussed the progress and prospects of the BM@N Experiment conducted at NICA. The event gathered more than 135 participants from JINR and 13 leading scientific organizations and universities from five countries in a hybrid format. The programme of the event included reminiscences and presentations by the researcher’s friends, colleagues, and mentees.
