The International Conference «Modern Problems of Radiation Genetics» organized by the Laboratory of Radiation Biology JINR, RAS Scientific Council for Radiobiology, and the Radiobiological Society of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held in Dubna. Experimental data on mechanisms of the development of genetic and epigenetic changes in organisms exposed to various doses of ionizing radiation was presented at the Conference. According to scientists, radiation genetics is a part of radiation biology, it is its special branch.
