3 July marks the National Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, a Member State of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Nowadays, more than 20 scientific centres and universities of the Republic of Belarus cooperate with JINR in the fields of theoretical physics, particle physics, nuclear physics, and condensed matter physics in the framework of ongoing research projects at JINR. The industrial potential of Belarus provides a vital contribution to joint projects; its unique equipment is of crucial importance for the operation of modern research facility detectors in Dubna and in other scientific centres participating in joint projects.

The Directorate of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research congratulates Belarusian colleagues and partners, as well as their relatives, on National Independence Day and wishes them good health, happiness, well-being, luck, and new professional successes for the benefits of science and progress.
