JINR Newsletter #37, 2 October 2024Dear colleagues and friends, Several highlights in international cooperation have recently taken place at JINR. Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam Huynh Thanh Dat visited the Institute. JINR also hosted meetings aimed at strengthening ties with South Africa and China. A JINR delegation paid a visit to a number of Mongolian institutes as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Mathematics and Digital Technology. Another significant date last week was the 30th anniversary of Dubna University, with which JINR closely collaborates. JINR Press Office CooperationMinister of Science and Technology of Vietnam visited JINRDuring the visit of a Vietnamese delegation led by Huynh Thanh Dat, the parties discussed personnel training for the future research reactor in Vietnam, involvement of Vietnamese employees in key JINR projects, and JINR support for the establishment of an accelerator complex in Hanoi. The leaders of mutual projects of JINR and scientific organizations and universities of the Republic of South Africa discussed the training of young South African personnel based on the existing projects as part of the RSA–JINR cooperation programme and plans. READ MORE ➟JINR at conference marking anniversary of Mongolian Institute of Mathematics and Digital TechnologyOn 19–22 September, a JINR delegation visited a number of institutes of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS). JINR representatives also participated in the conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the IMDT MAS. During the visit, a number of agreements on strengthening JINR–Mongolia cooperation were reached. READ MORE ➟WorkshopsCooperation prospects with Institute of Modern Physics of China discussed at JINRVBLHEP JINR hosted the Workshop on Superconducting Resonators and Fast Cycling Magnets as part of the cooperation between JINR and the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The parties discussed the issues of creating new technologies and prospects for the development of the NICA and HIAF projects. The creation of a high-speed communication channel between JINR and the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Academy of Sciences of China was considered a primary objective. In the work, the authors numerically confirm that the origin of the Negative Barnett effect is the thermal evaporation of the nonperturbative chromomagnetic condensate.
