Listvyanka Village on Lake Baikal hosted the international MSCHEP’2026 workshop. More than 70 participants representing scientific organizations of China, Russia, and JINR, along with telecommunications and computing equipment companies joined the event.

Over the course of two days, students presented the results of their research conducted as part of JINR projects. The event brought together 24 participants from the leading Russian universities.

On 14 April, the Scientific Leader of the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions at JINR turned 93. He is known to the global academic community as an outstanding researcher and leading specialist in experimental nuclear physics. Until 8 May, the JINR Science and Technology Library is hosting a new exhibition. Readers can find textbooks, popular science literature, and a book on 70th JINR anniversary.

Applications for the 15th annual Alushta conference, organized by the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR, are invited. The event will take place from 7 to 14 June at the Dubna Resort Hotel. The registration is available on Indico until 24 April.

Scientists are invited to take part in four grant competitions. The deadline of a competition for teams led by young scientists was postponed, and three competitions were announced for international teams conducting fundamental and exploratory studies.

The event is organized by BLTP as part of the Dubna International Advanced School of Theoretical Physics scientific and educational project. Master and PhD students as well as young researchers are invited to participate. Applications are submitted via the link until 1 May.

The new guest of the Chronograph. Time’s Witnesses series is Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, a leading researcher of the Department of Research and Innovation of the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems at JINR Boris Zalikhanov.

12 April marked the 113th birth anniversary of the first director of the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems at JINR, Venedikt Dzhelepov, one of the pioneers of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

On 31 March, a delegation from the RSC Group, headed by CEO Alexander Moskovsky, visited the Laboratory of Information Technologies at JINR. As part of the visit, a seminar on the organization of joint R&D projects took place.

On 11 April, an Institute’s team took first place in a swimming competition at the Spartakiad among the enterprises and educational organizations of the city. Congratulations to the athletes!
