Seminar topic: “Detailed study of the properties of the radioactive decay of nobelium isotopes using alpha, beta, gamma spectroscopy”

Speaker: Merey Tezekbaeva

Abstract:

Experimental data got at SHELS kinematic separator and GABRIELA detecting system are presented here. Alpha-, beta-, gamma- spectroscopy methods were applied to study radioactive decay properties of No isotopes got as a result of several neutron evaporation by compound nucleus in the reactions of 48Ca accelerated ion beam and 204,206,208Pb target and in 22Ne with 238U asymmetric reaction. No isotopes are of special interest because it gives an opportunity to study how radioactive decay properties change above N=152 neutron subshell. This gives an opportunity to get data to understand the behavior of heavy element isotopes above N=162 neutron subshell. Data for characteristics of 250No isotope spontaneous fission from ground and isomeric states were got. Properties of 249No new isotope and its daughter products were described.
