News, 10 March 2016

In 2015, the International Academy of Authors of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions (IAASDI) made a recommendation to award a famous JINR scientist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Vladislav Ivanovich Luschikov the Roentgen Medal. It was noted in the recommendation that V.I.Lysikov proved himself as inventive experimenter with a good knowledge of theoretical physics. The topics of his major works covered a wide range of fundamental and applied research. V.I.Luschikov is co-author of two scientific discoveries: “The phenomenon of retention of slow neutrons” and “The phenomenon of nuclear interactions of ultracold neutrons in the external quantizing fields”, which are of great scientific and practical value, and enriched not only Russian, but also the world science.

Unfortunately, Vladislav Ivanovich passed away shortly before the adoption of the European Academy of the decision to award him the Roentgen Medal for outstanding scientific achievements. At the beginning of 2016, IAASDI representatives visited Dubna and presented the medal and diploma to his son Igor.

His colleagues and pupils regarded the rewarding of V.I.Luschikov the Roentgen Medal as deserved recognition of the achievements of the Russian scientist by the world scientific community.
