News, 28 May 2018

Today, on 28 May 2018, the 26th International Seminar on Interaction of Neutrons with Nuclei (ISINN-26) was launched in Xi’an, China. The present ISINN-26 seminar is called «Fundamental Interactions & Neutrons, Nuclear Structure, Ultracold Neutrons, Related Topics». This year, this traditional FLNP JINR annual seminar in the field is held on the Asian continent for the first time.

The event was co-organized by the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics (FLNP) of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), the State Key Laboratory of Intense Pulsed Radiation Simulation and Effect (SKLIPRSE) of Northwest Institute of Nuclear Technology (NINT), and Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Advanced Nuclear Energy and Technology (SKLANT) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU).

The field of Interaction of Neutrons with Nuclei is traditional but rapidly evolving and is driven by the worldwide development of pulsed nuclear reactors, neutrons spallation sources, linac based white neutron sources.

ISINN-26 aims at bringing together leading scientists, researchers and research scholars from around the world involved in the development of neutron science, nuclear physics and their applications to exchange and share their experience and most recent results in the field. This year, about 200 scientists from JINR, China, Romania, Russia, the USA and some other countries came to Xi’an to participate in the Seminar.
