Autumn Session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries in Bucharest

On 19 – 20 November 2018, a Session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the JINR Member States will be held in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. JINR Director, Academician V.A. Matveev will provide a report at the Session.

Attention of participants of the Session will be centred around a draft of the JINR budget for 2019 and a draft of contributions of JINR Member States in 2020, 2021, 2022. Deputy Head of the Finance and Economy Office M.P. Vasiliev will introduce to participants the relevant drafts.

Two reports by JINR Vice-Directors V.D. Kekelidze and R. Lednický will be devoted to a draft of the budget of allocated by the Russian Federation funds expenditure in 2019 according to the agreement between the RF Government and JINR on the establishment and operation of the Complex of Superconducting Rings for Heavy Ion Colliding Beams NICA.

Participants of the Session will consider the milestones of the meeting of the JINR Finance Committee that will precede the Session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries (16 – 17 November 2018, Bucharest).

D.A. Korsakov will report on the audit results of the Institute’s financial activity in 2017 and on the analysis of implementation of the action plan by the JINR Directorate according to the results of the audit of the Institute’s financial activity in 2016.

JINR Chief Scientific Secretary A.S. Sorin will introduce to participants of the Session changes in the membership of the JINR Scientific Coucnil.

The current status of agreements with Associate Members, drafting of agreements with France and other states will be the topic of a report by Head of the JINR International Cooperation Department D.V. Kamanin.

Director of the Laboratory of Information Technologies JINR V.V. Korenkov will provide a report devoted to trends, challenges and prospects in development of information technologies.

After the general discussion, participants of the Session will take decisions on the considered issues and will sign a protocol.

On 20 November 2018, the JINR-Romania scientific symposium will be held. Participants of the Session will visit the laboratories of the Horia Hulubei National Institute for R&D in Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN HH).
