Abstract:

The success of exotic nuclei studies depends mostly on the ability of intensive radioactive beam production, precision monitoring as well as correlation measurements of nuclear reaction products on interaction with targets. For this purpose ACCULINNA-II@U400M experimental complex was created and is still being developed in FLNR for a wide range of studies.
This work concerns putting ACCULINNA-II fragment separator into operation, equipping it to organize a measuring center consisted of the following subsystems: primary beam diagnostics, productive target and primary beam absorber unit, system of diaphragms and wedge-shaped absorber, HF-filter, time-of-flight detector, secondary beam tracking, H2, D2, Т2 и 3,4He cryogen isotope targets, detector positioning system. During 2017-2020 a scientific program was realized at the setup to study 6,7H, 6,7,9He, 8,9,10Li, 27S nuclei level spectra and their decay channels. In addition to it the above mentioned subsystems were tested and adjusted. The main characteristics (intensity, purity, diameter, divergence) of 15-45 MeV/nucleon 6,8He, 9,11Li, 10,12Be, 27S, 26P, 25Si radioactive beams were analyzed and compared with LISE++ code results. Experimental data agreed very well with the designed ones. It was shown that ACCULINNA-II@U400M complex occupies a worthy place in the world and has a high potential for scientific discoveries.
