Seminar topic: “Modeling of physical processes in dense and hot nuclear medium”

Speaker: Yuri Kalinovsky

Abstract:

The search for quark-gluon plasma and the study of the properties of matter under critical conditions are urgent tasks of modern physics included in the topical plans of existing and future experiments on heavy-ion collisions, such as the NICA experiment (JINR, Dubna). To simulate phase transitions, effective models are used at finite temperatures and densities of nuclear matter. These models must take into account the behavior of physical observables when the densities and temperatures of nuclear matter change. Such an analysis requires the creation of serious computer software at the level of elaborating new algorithms, calculation methods, and software packages.
