Abstract:

This report presents one of the new types of particle and gamma-quantum detectors − a hybrid pixel semiconductor detector. The scope of application of such detectors extends from coordinate detectors with a high spatial resolution of the order of tens of microamperes in experimental particle physics to energy-sensitive X-ray image detectors for medical imaging application. The requirements for detectors of these two directions significantly differ.
