Abstract:

The report deals with neutron-physical parameters of the most optimum variants of powerful pulsed neutron sources based on non-multiplying and multiplying systems driven by a proton accelerator. It has been shown that at the future neutron source in JINR the neutron flux density comparable with the new European source ESS can be achieved at a significantly lower accelerator power.
