Abstract:

The equation of state (EOS) of assymetric nuclear matter has long been considered as a crucial input to understand the structural properties of neutron-rich nuclei and neutron stars. The behaviour of the nuclear matter EOS strongly depends on both nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions and calculation methods, and still remost the most challenging problem without any completely satisfactory solution. We apply the lowest-order constrained variational (LOCV) method to analyze the EOS of spin and isospin assymetrical nuclear matter, magnetized neutron matter and neutron star matter using different NN potentials. We also compute the saturation properties of symmetric nuclear matter and nuclear symmetry energy. To achieve a realistic description of the EOS, one should consider the three-nucleon interaction (TNI). For this aim, we calculate the EOS of nuclear matter by employing two-body potentials with TNI contribution.
We also investigate the structural properties of static, rotating and magnetized neutron stars by solving Einstein equations. The core-crust transition parameters have been also investigated as well as other structural properties of neutron stars.
