Abstract:

The finite-temperature equation of state of chemically-equilibrated mixture of alpha particles and nucleons is studied in the mean-field approximation. We use Skyrme-like parametrization of the mean-ашeld potentials as functions of partial particle densities, which contain both attractive and repulsive terms. The phase diagram of the alpha-nucleon mixture is studied with special attention to possible phase transitions. We have found two first-order phase transitions of liquid-gas type, stable and metastable, which differ significantly by the fractions of alpha particles. It is shown that alpha particles can also form a Bose condensate, but this state is metastable.
