Seminars

DLNP Joint Laboratory Seminar

Date and Time: Wednesday, 23 October 2019, at 11:00 AM

Venue: Conference Hall of the Scientific and Experimental Department of Nuclear Spectroscopy and Radiochemistry, Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems

Seminar topic: “Reactions pn → ppS + π and pp → ppS + π0 at 0.8 GeV”

Speaker: V. S. Kurbatov

Abstract:

The differential cross sections of the reactions pn → ppS + π and pp → ppS + π0 at 0.8 GeV are measured at beam energy 800 MeV in a small angular range in forward direction. Here ppS means proton pair with small excitation energy Epp < 3 MeV . Their implications on the mechanism of deutron breakup (pd → ppn) are discussed. Data were collected at accelerator COSY, Juelich, Germany.
