On 29 March 2023, at 4:00 PM, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR invites you to the next seminar that will take place at the hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6, Joliot-Curie street, left side).

Sergei Merts (a VBLHEP leading researcher) will deliver a report “BM@N, the first step in implementation of NICA Project”.

At the lecture, you will learn about the main experiment at the NICA Accelerator Complex today, why it is needed, and what problems it solves. We will try to figure out how many millions an experimental physicist needs for happiness. And we will find out which track detectors are better: large or small.

There will be a small coffee break at 4:00 PM, which precedes the seminar. The report will start at 4:15 PM.
