The Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR continues a series of seminars that are held in the hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6, Joliot-Curie street, left side) on Thursdays at 4:00 PM.

On 30 June 2022, Yuri Severyukhin (researcher, LRB) will make a presentation “Space Radiobiology: from the Eiffel Tower to the charged particle accelerator”. Yuri will talk about the discovery of ionizing radiation in space, research on the effects of charged particles on the brain and behaviour. He will touch upon the issues of radiation safety of space flights.

There will be a small coffee break at 4:00 PM, which precedes the seminar. The report will start at 4:15 PM.
