On 23 April 2022, the JINR Universal Public Library will host the next Biblionight.

From 4:00 to 11:00 PM, many events will be held at the Biblionight:

  • Blackout poetry: participants take random text and cross out unnecessary words. That is how they get poems;
  • “Word factory”: participants need to make meaningful sentences from fragments. A game for adults based on a children’s book-parable;
  • “Stool”: participants read their favourite poems to poetry connoisseurs;
  • Two thematic exchanges: indoor plants and books;
  • Moreover: book fairs, quotes, board games for young people and adults, the opportunity to join the library (you should bring your passport with you), and a book amnesty for those who forgot to return book on time.

At 6:00 PM, participants of Oksana Pliskovskaya’s voice-speech training will read a fairy tale by V. Čtvrtek “The Tales of Moss and Fern” (for 5 – 10 years old children) to a musical accompaniment of pupils of Children’s Music School.

At 5:30 PM, “Cozy fairy tales” for children 6-10 years old: active games, workshops, and quizzes.

Mini-lectures in 15×4 format will start at 6:00 PM. Four educational 15-minute lectures are usually presented. There will be lectures:

  1. “15 minutes about an intellectual garden” by Anastasia Vinnichenko, a gardener and artist that paints landscapes with trees, shrubs, and herbs;
  2. “15 minutes on how to fill your life with impressions just by communicating” by Anna Kuzmina, an organizer of jam sessions at home;
  3. “15 minutes about nanoparticles and their toxicity” by Inga Zinicovscaia, the Head of the Sector of Neutron Activation Analysis and Applied Research of the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics JINR;
  4. “15 minutes about bike myths” by Julian Golubev, a designer, photographer, and cyclist.

At 8:00 PM, workshops will start: slipware painting and sgraffito technique on ready-made forms with Anna Vertogradova, decorative tiles with Tatiana Elisheva, saucers for little things made of clay with a lace print and imprints of letter stamps with Natalia Danilova, author’s watercolour bookmarks with Natalia Kotomina, calligraphic drawing with a sharp pen and calligraphic scales with Marina Gulina. Workshops will be held by appointment in the library. No more than five people can participate in each workshop.

At 8:15 PM, 8:45 PM, 9:15 PM, 9:45 PM there will be excursions to the library stack by four library staff (without an appointment, on a first-come, 5 – 6 people per an excursion). Responsible for events O. V. Gaponova, a librarian and expert on book stocks
E. L. Selegey, a bibliographer G. A. Solovyova, Director M. S. Pilipenko will arrange excursions.

At 9:00 PM, a round table for craftsmen and artisans on the promotion in social networks will start (moderator — marketer Tatiana Volchenkova).

At 9:30 PM, the Dubna Craft Concerts community will start an evening of author’s improvisational music, poems, and videos at the Biblionight. Anyone can participate by appointment via a personal message to Alina Volkova.
