Computer program for testing superconducting magnets

News, 04 April 2024

The Department of Innovation and Intellectual Property of JINR announces that on 25 March 2024, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research received a certificate of state registration of the software for generating control signals for the current source of the superconducting magnet test bench.

Congratulations to the authors on receiving the certificate of state registration!

“Program for generating control signals for the current source of the superconducting magnet test bench”

Authors: Viktor Karpinsky, Nikolay Blinov, Andrey Zorin (VBLHEP JINR)

The program is designed to control the current source of the superconducting magnet test bench. The program implements an interface for controlling a 15 kA power supply in real time. The program automatically generates a strobe according to the selected reference voltage parameters. The program provides the following functions: setting the pause between the reference voltage pulses, the rise time, the amplitude and duration of the trapezoid plateau, the fall time, and the duration of four parabolic transient processes between sections of the reference voltage is separately set. The program allows generating a strobe with a certain amplitude and time delays. The program also implements the function of recording the parameters of the current cycle in the operational log. Computer type: Intel-based PC; OS: Windows 10.
Programming language: “LabVIEW” 2019 / 64bit
