Dance Psychological Project

Culture

The JINR Universal Public Library invites 14–17 years old teenagers to take part in the Dance psychological project. The first meeting of the participants will take place on 19 September, at 5:00 PM.

The project is suitable for those who:

  • are nervous before exams;
  • are afraid of meeting people;
  • don’t understand their feelings;
  • don’t know how to deal with conflict situations;
  • are looking for a safe space to express themselves.

The participants will:

  • discuss the origins of dance and the meaning of gestures;
  • act out sketches and pantomimes;
  • analyse options for action in different situations;
  • discuss pressing problems in a friendly and supportive environment;
  • study relaxation and concentration techniques;
  • learn to introduce themselves;
  • try to better understand themselves and others.

The project will result in a group dance that expresses a shared vision and concerns of the whole team.

The group is recruited by Elena Shuktomova, a 5th year student of the Clinical Psychology Department. Registration is available via the link.
