On 23 November 2022, at 6:30 PM, the JINR Universal Public Library will host a screening of the documentary “The Ark” (2022, directed by Stanislav Stavinov).

A documentary about the big Caucasus Nature Reserve, wildlife, and the people who ended up inside. Few people know, but it is here, in the Western Caucasus, that the highest level of biodiversity in Europe is. The highest forest grows, and the deepest snow falls. It is also home to one of the largest populations of bison in the world.

The film is shown within the Festival of popular-science films FANK. The FANK programme includes films about different scientific fields and their influence on society.
