Lecture “Brain in terms of science”

On 23 July 2023, at 2:00 PM, the JINR Universal Public Library invites to a popular science lecture on neurobiology “Brain in terms of science”.

Speaker: Vladimir Alipov, an employee of the MSU Institute for Advanced Brain Research, a postgraduate of the Institute of Higher Nervous Activity and Neurophysiology of RAS, hosts YouTube channels Dysphorra and Neotenic.

Vladimir will speak about how modern science understands the brain and how it shapes our personality. The lecturer will answer the following questions. What if Pavlov was wrong and reflexes don’t exist? Are new nerve cells forming in the brain? Does intelligence depend on upbringing and education?
