Lecture “Empress Maria Alexandrovna: epistolaries and fate”

On 3 June 2022, at 6:30 PM, the Public Library invites to a lecture “Empress Maria Alexandrovna: epistolaries and fate”.

The lecturer, Dr. Irek Suleymanov, the JINR Director Advisor for International Cooperation, a germanist, an author of more than 30 scientific and popular scientific works, will speak about cross-cultural turns of the astonishing destiny that was represented in epistolaries of the princess of Hesse and the Russian Empress.

The lecture is based on the personal experience of Dr Suleymanov in working with the diaries and the letters of the Empress Maria Alexandrovna (1824-1880) and their decryption and translation into Russian.
