The JINR Universal Public Library invites all interested people to a popular science lecture “Solid State Physics” by Pavel Maksimov, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, a senior researcher of the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics JINR.

This branch of physics belongs to condensed matter physics and microscopic physics as a whole. Solid state physics’ discoveries have created electronics and computer science which radically changed the human society. Developing in the field of quantum computing refer particularly to solid state physics. Research on superconductivity and magnetism is also an area of interest of this branch of physics.

The lecture will take place as part of the joint project “Pinnacles of Science” of the JINR Universal Public Library and the Sole Mio Family Centre.
