A session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States

A regular session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States will be opened on 26 March 2012 at the International Conference Hall.
By the established tradition, the Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States will participate in ceremonial events dedicated to the JINR Foundation Day on 26 March. Nevetheless, the morning session of March 26 will be businesslike. JINR Director Academician V.A. Matveev will make a report about recommendations of the 111th session of the JINR Scientific Council (February 2012), and the results of JINR activity in 2011. JINR Assistant Director on financial issues V.V.Katrasev will make a report on the JINR budget ‘2011 implementation.
The beginning of the ceremonial events devoted to the 56th anniversary of the foundation date of JINR is set at 15.30 in the Cultural Center “Mir”.
On Tuesday, 27 March 2012, the session will continue its work as usual. The meeting participants will hear reports on milestones of the JINR Financial Committee session of 23-24 March 2012 and the audit results of the JINR financial activity of 2011. The session participants are to approve appointments of JINR Vice-Directors, Chief Scientific Secretary and Chief Engineer, presented by JINR Director V.Matveev.
LNP Director A.V. Belushkin will present a report "The IBR-2 reactor after the upgrade completion and prospects for research at its beams".
A general discussion, adoption of decisions and signing of a protocol will conclude the session.
